The Arena

The 50m x 30m all-weather, Manchester Plastics outdoor arena provides a secure environment for all year round schooling, jumping or exercising horses.

There is a full set of showjumps available for livery owners to use as required; both the arena and showjumps are available for public hire.

Land and Grazing

At GFE we have 32 acres of free draining productive meadow pasture.  We are situated within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and therefore are recognised by DEFRA as an Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA).  This means that we do not spray herbicides or insecticides on any of our pasture.

All horses enjoy quality grazing all year round.  The risks of turnout related injuries are minimised by individual or paired turnout.  All fields are fenced by wooden posts and equine electric tape, all paddocks have a fresh, clean water supply.

Correct pasture management is a vital part of any worming programme; at GFE we ensure that all fields are poo picked daily and that the fields are rotated and rested regularly to provide clean pasture for your horse to graze.

Classroom/Common Room

Situated above the tack room is the heated teaching classroom and common room.

The classroom is routinely used for BHS Training Days and external clinics.  There are comfortable chairs and a sofa where you may enjoy our free tea and coffee.

Tack Room

The tack room is spacious with individual storage areas for livery's tack and equipment.  The tack room is fully secured with a reinforced steel door.  There is also a separate, secure rug room for drying and storing outdoor rugs.
